One Size Doesn’t Fit All
I was not surprised (yet was very disappointed… perhaps even uttering the word “insane”) to hear this afternoon that Governor Evers is continuing the “Safer at Home” order until Tuesday, May 26 (the day after Memorial Day).
If I Were King…
The other day, much was made of President Trump’s declaration that he had total authority when it came to ending some of the COVID-19 restrictions and getting the country back to work. Governors around the country quickly reminded the President that the Constitution says otherwise.
Following Jesus
I am very privileged to serve a congregation that also has a school ministry. Besides doing my “pastor” things, I get to teach religion and world history to our 7th and 8th graders. Today was “Schoolwork Pickup Day #2” as we continue online education.

So what does a pastor do on the day after Easter? At least for this one, the usual answer is, “Not much of anything.” This year was a bit different.
Saturday of Holy Week
There’s an interesting irony on the day after Jesus was crucified. The chief priests and Pharisees who were so concerned about the Law and often accused Jesus of working on the Sabbath go to Pilate on the Sabbath because they had some work they needed to do.
